Nima Sahar
Nima Sahar is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist, registered with the College of Audiologist and Speech-Language Pathologist of Ontario (CASLPO) and certified as a Hanen Speech-Language Pathologist. Having ran a number of “More Than Words” parents training programs, she has extensive experience helping parents of children with autism to communicate and support their children. Nima has a Status-Only position with the Speech-Language Pathology Department at the University of Toronto, where she is a Clinical Educator for Speech-Language Pathology students. Nima fluently speaks and can run assessment and therapy sessions in both Arabic and English.May Hussein
May Hussein is a seasoned and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist with over 19 years of dedicated experience in the field. Born and raised in Jordan, she embarked on a journey to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals facing communication disabilities.Hussein earned a Master's Degree from the University of Jordan in Amman and a Bachelor's Degree from Applied Science University. Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CASLPO: 7289) in Ontario, May has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in patient care and a passion for advancing the field of speech pathology.Throughout May's career, notable roles include serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist at Closing The Gap Healthcare in Mississauga, where she assessed and treated over 120 patients, receiving exceptional feedback. May also held a pivotal position as a Speech Language Pathologist-Supervisor at the Jordanian Speech Clinic for Speech Therapy and Learning Difficulties in Al-Ain, UAE. Here, she provided individualized services to children with diverse communication disorders, showcasing expertise in areas such as developmental language delays, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and more.Known for her collaborative approach, May co-led pragmatics groups, conducted counseling sessions for patients' families, and worked seamlessly with professionals from various disciplines. Her impact extended to AI-Ain Hospital, where she administered diagnostic tests, organized specialized therapy sessions, and maintained comprehensive patient progress records.Outside the clinic, Hussein is deeply committed to continuing education and staying abreast of the latest advancements in speech pathology. She envisions a world where effective communication is accessible to all, and she channels her expertise and passion into making a difference in the lives of those she serves.May resides in Mississauga and remains dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the field of speech-language pathology.Jane Sfeir
Jane Sfeir has more than 10 years experience in speech and language pathology. She is multilingual and she speaks English, French and Arabic. Currently, she holds the position of Communicative Disorders Assistant as she awaits her equivalency certification from the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Her educational journey includes both a bachelor's and a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, earned at "Université Saint Joseph" in Beirut, Lebanon.Throughout her professional experience, Jane has amassed extensive knowledge in the assessment and treatment of diverse communication disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorders), speech (articulation and phonology), language (receptive, expressive, and pragmatics), as well as literacy and executive functions delays/disorders (dyslexia and more). Her expertise extends to working with individuals facing various challenges, such as Down Syndrome, ADHD, and more. She has consistently provided education and training to patients and their families, collaborating closely with a range of paramedical professionals to contribute to accurate diagnoses and comprehensive treatment plans. Her work is characterized by a commitment to evidence-based therapeutic techniques.In addition to her clinical work, Jane has previously served as the coordinator of a special department for students with special needs and learning delays/disorders in an inclusive school in Lebanon.Jane is widely recognized for her dedication, unwavering commitment, profound compassion, and an enduring passion for making a positive impact on the lives of children.Samantha Sergi
a Speech and Language Sciences Student at York University as well as an aspiring Speech-Language Pathologist. She has acted as a Research Assistant alongside York University Professors on various Research Projects investigating English as a Second Language (ESL) Students and has even won the ‘Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE)’ for her work. In 2020, Samantha graduated from Holy Cross Catholic Academy at the top of her class and successfully completed over 600 hours of community service. She served as the Valedictorian, Student Government President, and was a member of eight other Clubs, Sports Teams, and Arts Programs. One notable program that Samantha was a part of was the ‘Best Buddies’ Committee. In the committee, Samantha worked alongside Teachers and Education Assistants in helping students with various disabilities with a wide range of tasks such as homework and practicing social and communication skills, all while fostering a safe and inclusive environment. At The Speech Solution Centre, Samantha acts as our Administrative Staff and is always willing to lend a hand to families in any capacity. Samantha is very passionate about promoting children’s strengths and assisting in skill development that can aid children in the journey toward reaching their goals.Nadia Zazzarino
Is a Registered Early Childhood Educator with over 20 years experience working with children with special needs and their families. Nadia studied at Humber College where she received diploma in Early Childhood Education and a certificate in Advanced Studies for Child with Special Needs. In 2008 Nadia completed a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Support Program at Ryerson University. Nadia has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education since 2001. She has extensive experience working in various roles and settings. Nadia has provided supports to children in childcare settings and in specialized nursery school programs; she has provided one on one support to children with disabilities and to their families and caregivers, to assess intervention to best suit the needs of the children. Nadia’s work with children have been in the areas of speech and language, behaviour modification, and supporting social, emotional and developmental concerns. Nadia employs a client-centered and collaborative approach when working with children and their families. She believes that early intervention in an integral part of fostering children’s overall well-being and success. In her work with children, she promotes children’s strengths through learning, skill development and positive communication which helps children to grow and thrive.Sasha Pinto
Is a Speech Language Pathologist who completed her Masters of Science degree in Speech and Language Pathology at the University of Alberta. She has worked with adults who have had a stroke and adults with Parkinson's Disease, and has provided services related to dysarthria, aphasia, and apraxia. She also has experience working with children in school boards and preschool speech and language programs, providing services related to articulation, language, motor speech disorders and fluency. Sasha provides services in English.What We Do
Our practice is focused on helping children who have speech and language challenges. We specialize with helping children and young adult through comprehensive speech and language therapy services, including assessments, individual therapy sessions and consultation.
Speech therapy services for young adults can be beneficial for individuals who experience difficulties with speech, language and communication. Speech and Language therapy services can help improve overall communication skills and enhance quality of life
